Trip Management Module:

The possible trips are built automatically after the orders are processed according to their Supplier-Region relations. The logistics operator using this module may then make any manual modifications to built trips or create manual ones if necessary. With all the orders loaded to the trips, then the operator will set the timings and the vehicles to the trips with this module. Here are some key features:

· A Loading optimization is applied depending on the regions of the suppliers taking the boxes' type as pallets and metal box. A safety loading height parameter is also considered when applying the algorithm.

· A real-time free 3D camera to visualize and interact with the load of a selected vehicle.

· Drag and drop support to edit the contents of a vehicle adding or deleting selected loads. The suppliers are denoted with unique colors to give a hint to the user while visualizing the trips.

· Consolidated amount orders that are loaded to metal boxes may be split into different orders to let them placed on different trips.

· Manual trip creation, letting the operator adding extra vehicles if needed.

· To be able to analyze the content of a trip box by box.

· Drag and drop support to attach a vehicle to a trip. Possible time collisions of a vehicle assigned to a trip while planning is automatically tracked and prevented.

· A vehicles bin sizes may be changed real-time. The loading optimization will be automatically applied.

· After the trips are built with their timings set and vehicles assigned, all the necessary operational documents are produced like Trip Information Form, Box Order Detail Labels, Empty Box Requirement Forms.

Route Timings Module

Before a vehicle is assigned to a trip, each trip's timings should be set already. This module groups the suppliers in a trip and lists to the operator with tools that helps to determine the vehicle's possible entrance and exit timings Operator sets the timings of the first supplier's entrance time and the rest of the timings are automatically calculated according to their order in the list. The order of any supplier may be changed and the timings are re configured according to the parameters already set. To help the visualization determining the timings, each supplier located in the same region denoted a unique color of that region.

Operational Data Management Module

Each item's production is represented with a unique KANBAN code and the item-KANBAN relations are managed with this module. Each item/KANBAN pair is turned into an order with a supplier, box, amount-in-box and dock properties. An added property is to give the critical items in the production line a lead time day which lets the system to inform the suppliers prior to order.

KANBAN Cart Reading Module


System collects the KANBAN Carts red to a central database with a reader utility installed at the reading stations. Precautions taken into account at the reader application prevent redundant carts to be inserted to the system at an early stage of the logistics cycle. At the end of the day these red KANBAN orders are turned into actual orders using item-KANBAN relations managed by the data management module. At this stage if any abnormalities detected when building the orders (i.e. invalid KANBAN cart that does not match with an item in the system) with the help of the system tracking the KANBAN carts by station, the fault is easily corrected. Additionally, besides the orders given by KANBAN cart system rare manual orders can also be inserted to system through this module.

Vehicle Schedule Tracking Module

This is a module that helps to track the vehicles scheduled to trips during the day with a graphical chart. After a vehicle is attached to a trip, its daily plan and efficiency displayed as a bar chart. With this picture before him, the logistic operator may manually reserve any vehicle requests that are called without disturbing the current plan of the day. Module will prevent to assign a vehicle manually causing a collision with the actual plan of a vehicle.
